You see, Alex is short for Alexandra, and she had a princess-themed party. And her mom told me: “What is a princess party without Prince Eric?”
Eric was all over the dress up part and insisted on going as a pirate. So behold: Eric the Pirate Prince . . . . . . totally at home in the princess world. You can see the beautiful birthday girl in blue just left of center in the picture and Eric on the far left.
Thank you so much for the invitation and the wonderful party, Nikki. Eric is still talking about it and asking daily to have another party with the girls.
“Avast me pretties! Another piece of cake to this rum-swilling bilge-rat or I’ll gully the lot of ya!”

afton's got the opposite problem, there are now three girls in our play-group (afton, rayna, and lily, aged 8 months)that means that when we get together, the girls are outnumbered 3:1 (there's 9 boys)... fun times though, despite it all, afton is ALL girl! and eric seems to be doing okay too :)
You've got to love these manly pirates. I can see he is very secure in himself at this young age. I wonder what will happen in a couple of years?
I can answer "Mike and Judy"'s comment: what will happen in a couple years? Weeeeelll: all these girls will be fighting over him, that's what will be happening. He is SO cute! Did you see how he held Alex' hand? What a sweetie! manly through and through, yet so sweet.
WE. LOVE. ERIC!!!! Can't get enough of him, prince or captain.
And thank you thank you so much for helping at the party!

I love the picture of Eric in his pirate costume--he makes the perfect pirate! Hid Dad must be so proud! :) Eric is truly a friend to everyone--girls and boys--which will help him greatly in his life. We love you guys and can't wait to see you!
He's the cutest buccaneer! Has he seen the Sesame Street Bookaneers?
