Playing in the Snow and Defending His Territory

We went out and played in the snow a few days ago. Because Beth doesn’t have any snow gear we put many layers on her, so many that she could hardly move. Eric and I built a snowman while Beth watched and laughed, that is, until she fell face first in the snow. She didn’t like that at all. After awhile she was too cold to stay out anymore but Eric was nowhere near ready to come in; so we transferred our play to the back yard where Beth played on the mat inside the door and Eric entertained her from outside. Even throwing snowballs at the glass door, to her great delight. As you can see in the last picture he would open the door to kiss her hand every time she asked him to. He now even introduces her as “Dis is Baby Beff” to everyone that comes near.
Because Beth is mainly interested in the toys that Eric is playing with we have found it necessary to create a play area behind one of the couches for him to play in without interference. I took this video when I caught Eric distracting Beth from trying to get in.

How cute! She is growing up way too fast! Is she walking yet? she looks like she could any second! Jordon is almost crawling right now, he is learning to get both of his legs underneath him in a crouching position. WIthin a couple of weeks, i think he might be doing it, the days are numbered of being able to mostly keep him in one spot. HOpe to see you guys soon!

Kirsten is so jealous of the snow! She has wanted to build a snowman so badly and was greatly disappointed in Denver and Kansas.

What a sweet boy! I definitely don't think Talton would be as nice. Beth looks so rosy in the snow!

Your pictures and videos sure help us deal with not being able to see Beth and Eric more often. Thank you so much, Cassie, for taking the time to "show" us Beth and Eric on your blog. Eric is such a good brother to Beth and she always looks so sweet in her pictures!! Even when she is trying to get over the "wall" to play with Eric's prized trains.
