The Last Post for 2008

I know that I mostly just post pictures here on the blog, but that's okay with me. So for those of you who want to know what I'm thinking or feeling... call me. If not, just enjoy the pictures.

Here is one of Dad and Mom reading the annual Christmas Chronicle. We made Dad laugh harder this year then any other year I can remember. I think it was due to this cartoon depicting an unfortunate encounter between Santa's sleigh and a helicopter. Sorry Mom.
This is one of Dad and Eric playing with one of Eric's new Christmas toys. We were very careful to put all the marbles in a bag so they wouldn't fall into Beth's hands. We still can't find the bag of marbles. While all the Allemans were here a friend of one of Ryan's uncles let us go up and "play" in his barn. I know that doesn't sound all that fun, but just wait till you see this barn. It's about a 30 minute drive up toward Heber.
Here is a view inside. There is a basket ball court when you first walk in the door, a ping-pong table, and huge chess board. A little further in there's a loft with 6 or so beds, 3 bathrooms, a walk-in closet full of tennis racquets (for the outdoor courts), balls of every kind, Frisbees and any other toy you think would belong in a place like this. There's also a huge kitchen, a tool room, living room, piano... you get the idea.
Here is a view of the living room. The fire was so warm and the couches were so soft.
Here is a view of the kitchen. I would love an island like this some day in my kitchen. I have never seen one bigger.
Here is the upstairs loft. These beds were so soft and comfortable
Here is Beth playing chess. Okay, she's really just playing "on" the giant chess board.
For those who like the outdoors better, there is this huge playground, 2 or 3 playhouses, double tennis courts, 2 zip lines (one dumps you in the lake), a lake with paddle boats, and a huge hill for sledding.

It was a fun afternoon, a great way to bring in the new year.

Nice place to hang out. He must have some major money to put together such a fun barn cabin!
